I love a good statement necklace… one that just sets your complete outfit.. & this one, yessssss, it’s awesome!! A white piko and some black denim is such an effortless, casual outfit, but when you add in those tassels it spices it up! The necklace kind of just makes this whole outfit!! those black clogs are also my new favorite shoe. I have been wearing them nonstop with so many things! To me they are comfy because they are closed toe, don’t have too high of an arch, and the ankle strap helps stabilize your foot. I am picky when it comes to heels & I definitely approve of these! also… can I just own every color piko out there!?? they are literally the softest, comfiest, casual tee on the market & I want them all! I may or may not even sleep in some of mine 😉 😉
I’m 22.. why am I worried about skin care, wrinkles, under my eyes or anti aging serum??? well just the other day, one of my good friends told me, “you only get this face/skin once, might as well take care of it” & I couldn’t agree more. I got a clarisonic a couple years ago & just kinda stopped using it… the more I thought about it, the more I wanted one.. My mom helped me do some research & for my birthday got me the Clarisonic Smart Profile & the Clarisonic Opal System.
What I love about the Smart Profile:
has 4 speed settings
can interchange brush heads & use them for your face, back, or body
has the “turbo” function
comes with a drying stand
What I love about the Clarisonic Opal:
use it in the morning to eliminate the bags under my eyes
palm size, so fits easily into my hands
reduces the look of wrinkles and lined skin
eye serum helps hydrate & nourish the areas around my eyes
Both of these are great for use either in the morning or at night. The Smart Profile really helps clean your skin well & leaves it feeling very smooth. The opal is my morning go-to & will probably start using it nightly once a week! Great products & highly recommend them both!
when I opened my christmas present and it revealed this toothbrush, I was kind of confused.. like a toothbrush for a present?? turns out, it’s been one of my fav gifts & most used gifts. I think we forget how often we brush our teeth and how important it is to take care of them. & with the help of this electric toothbrush, I constantly want to keep my teeth clean and feeling refreshed. The thing about electric toothbrushes is that they produce more brush strokes a minute than a normal one. The more brush strokes, the more productive it is when removing plaque. The vibration helps scrub those teeth a little more than your hand ever could. The other thing I love about this toothbrush is that is has a 2 minute timer. Every 30 seconds it will vibrate, letting you know to move to a different area of your mouth. 2 minutes seems like a while.. no way I brush my teeth for 2 minutes with a normal toothbrush.. but with this electric one the time goes by quick. Another great feature, the UV sanitizer that is built in on the base. After each brush you can take the removable brush head off, place it in the base, and the UV will kill all the germs and bacteria on the brush. Makes brushing feel even cleaner!!
Please let me know if you have any questions!!! Happy FriYAY! Hope you all have a great weekend!
-another one of my favs, is the option to create Build a Bracelet Set of 3 – you can get exactly what you want & switch up your design process!
**Currently on My WishList**
The QueenBee Cuff Bracelet reminds me our Gatech mascot, the Yellowjacket.. so naturally, I want! I think it’s so adorable! I like the Teal Arrowhead Pendant Necklace for layering! I love wearing teal accessories, with hot pink in the summer.. so maybe going for that style! &&& that Fringe Hand Chain Ring!! omg… I am so in to the hand chains.. love this little boho style one! The Valentine Bracelet Trio is on sale for $36 (normally $104)- can’t beat that!! I also think we all need a good pair of statement earrings, which leads me to that last pair, the Sardinia Drop Earring!! yayyy for teal & tassels 😉 ;)!
last year I blogged lots of Southern Girl Prep Items, but this one is by new my favorite. #1. It’s pink. #2. It’s long sleeve #3. It’s preppy #4. It’s the perfect fit (I sized up to a Medium) #5. The design is too cute & #6. “Southern State of Mind” I mean come on, we all know I am a southern gal at heart! I shot this look by some tennis courts at our country club and the sun kept popping in and out… made me realize how much I am looking forward to warmer weather and summer!
I will be sharing another short sleeve tee from their collection soon! so stay tuned for that! & always.. let me know if you have any questions!
Why the balloons you may ask!? well.. I celebrated my birthday at home this weekend & I thought.. why not use them for this shoot!? I have been waiting for the right time and place for this outfit, and when I saw the pink balloons, I knew!! they kinda just tied the whole look together!!
I love the tulle skirt and polka dots because it’s a feminine look but still very classy and cute! If you don’t own a tulle skirt, I suggest you invest in one because they are great to throw on with a casual top, yet you still have a little dressier outfit! plus they are comfy, not too fitted, and they just kinda make you feel like a princess… I love mine so much, I’ve worn it 3 times in a span of 10 days… that’s saying something!
so.. I am finally settled back in ATL now after a great weekend in Kentucky! Friday I got to hang out with my mom, get my hair done, and eat dinner with my fam! Saturday I celebrated one of my dear friends moms 50th birthday, then celebrated mine after! I love cake sooooo much, it’s the one thing I look forward to about birthdays!! and this year my cake was too good….. take a look
amazing right!??? It was so cute I didn’t even want to eat it! but when I did.. I wanted to eat it all! I brought some back to ATL with me and I think it’s going to be my breakfast, lunch, and dinner!! 😉 😉 still birthday splurging…
anyways, hope you all have a great, great week ahead of you! lots of luv, T
wear this as a top, like me… or as a dress if you are shorter!! both ways it’s super cute and very flattering! I am a huge fan of oversized shirts and flowy tops, so all the more reason to love this one! plus, it’s white and lace, so you can wear it into spring!!!!
side note: if y’all didn’t know, yesterday was my birthday!! I had a test from 6-8, which literally ruined my whole day… stressing about an exam was not the way I wanted to spend my bday.. but…. when I came home from my test, my roomie had balloons flying and cookie cake waiting!! so all my girlfriends came over, we popped champagne, and munched on sweets! perfect way to the end of my night! also, cookie cakes, from Great American Cookies, are my all time fav! every time I see a store or stand I go grab a cookie.. just ask my bf lol.. it’s a problem!! & now… it’s like my birthday all week, with cookies involved :))
We all have those staple pieces in our closet that we wear time and time again.. the bags we carry over and over.. the earrings we wear 5 times a week..& the jeans we can’t stop wearing long enough to wash.. when it comes to products/clothes I know I will get my use out of, I like to splurge! but when it comes to things I may not wear or use as much, saving is right up my alley!
with spring right around the corner these are some great pieces to keep your eye on!
Since the start of the new year I have really focused on having a positive outlook on my body, by incorporating different fitness workouts and staying motivated in & outside of the gym! I told someone at work yesterday that I really need to try not to be so hard on myself about my body image. I think so many of you readers would agree with me, when I say we worry too much about our figure and appearance that it’s easy to get caught up in it. Instead, I think we should try to focus on living a healthy life and enduring a positive lifestyle.
Five Tips to Incorporate in Your Life
Exercise- I find my most productive days are ones that I have incorporated exercise into. Even if it’s only hopping on the treadmill for 15 min, or doing 8 minute abs (my personal youtube favorite lol), something is better than nothing. If you can’t get to a gym do some squats, jump rope (if you don’t have one, get one!), or try to work in some crunches.
Invest in a Fitness Tracker- There are so many options out there on the market for fitness trackers. I personally love my $50 FitBit! I got my bf the HR one for Valentine’s Day and he is already addicted! It’s a great way to keep you motivated and aware of your daily routines. Remember to try for 10,000 steps a day!
Set Goals- Focus on how you want to feel and set goals to help you get there. Goals can be anything.. gym goals, eating goals, dieting goals, relationship goals, & etc. Having ideas and routines for your daily life can help you plan your schedule and in the end see whatever results you are working for.
Sleep- I am one of those people that if I don’t have 8 hours of sleep, you don’t want to be around me. I think sleep is soooo sooo important. It’s your time to let your body rest and replenish for the next day ahead. Sleep studies show that lack of sleep may cause weight gain. Do your body a favor and rest up! shoot for 7 hours at least!
Maintain a Healthy Diet- I have a severe case of the sweet tooth… but when I eat healthier, I feel 1843098x times better. & don’t get me wrong, I love to splurge.. the weekend is all for splurging! also sometimes, cravings are good & you should satisfy them. at times all I want is Kilwins Cake Batter Ice Cream. Instead of going to get it I end up eating 12 other things, when in reality I should’ve just chose the Ice Cream. Meal planning may be great for you if you are always on the go. and just a little tip, 70% of your health and fitness goals is due to food….. oh, the struggles that come along with trying to stay healthy, eating the good-good, and maintaining your lifestyle.
There are so many things to do in Atlanta I could probably use every blog post to write about a restaurant, experience, or hot spot! but.. this Valentine’s Day we had dinner at Atlanta Fish Market and it was so beyond fabulous (it deserves a post)! there are no words that can describe how great our lobster was, along with our service, and the great atmosphere! if you are a seafood kinda person, this is your kinda place!!!! & if you are ever in ATL I highly recommend it! followed by dinner, we tried to go to Cafe Intermezzo, our favorite dessert place, but it was beyond packed as well… so what did we settle for!? a DQ blizzard… gosh I love blizzards so much! I am a huge fan of Brownie Batter, but only select stores have it, so my next favorite is cookie dough (with chocolate ice cream). If you didn’t know, ice cream is my all time favorite food! & in my opinion, the most important food group.. it’s dairy, which is good for you right!? at least that’s what I am telling myself 😉 aside, from eating this weekend I just spent some qaulity time with my beau… those of you gals in long distance relationships know what its like.. so every chance I get, I try to soak up all the time I can with him!
hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s… & great start to the week! love, T
