Happy Thursday to you all!! I am amazed at how quick this week has went by!! My roommate asked me yesterday, “How’s it going?” I said, “It’s going.. but I truly believe this was the fastest week of my college career.” I guess that is because I have been so busy and haven’t stopped.

I am currently taking a break from writing my final papers and studying to tell y’all some news! For those of you who don’t follow me on Facebook or Instagram you may not know that I am competing in the upcoming Miss Kentucky United States Pageant! I would like to think of this blog post as my official announcement since I haven’t really discussed with too many people!  When my friends and family start to ask me about it, the wedding, and future plans I always say, “my main focus this fall and winter has been school! school.. school & some more school”.  Being a BME major really gets the best of me sometimes. I’ve really had to learn how to juggle school, work, my blog, and now Miss KY!  I wouldn’t have it any other way though! I love blogging, I love modeling for Red Dress, and I love that in 9 days I can say I have graduated from the #1 Biomedical Engineering School in the nation.  &&& come February, I know I am going to absolutely love this new experience and opportunity that I’ve been given to represent Henderson County in the Miss Kentucky pageant.

Just the other day I was on the phone with my mom and dad & I started reading off my mental to-do list when I graduate! They know I have my work cut out for me, but are very excited as I start this new chapter in my life! They, along with my brother, Clint, and close family, have been fully supportive in all the big decisions I’ve ceased this year and all my endeavors. I honestly couldn’t do life without them!

So… I know y’all are all wondering, When’s the pageant? What are your future plans? When are you getting married? Have you set a date? Are you moving back home? Are you seeking a BME career? — Honestly,  I am taking 1 thing at time!! I’ve never been more excited in my life to venture back to Kentucky, spend the holidays with my family, and start prepping for my next big experience– Miss Kentucky!!

I hope y’all will join me on these upcoming journeys and the start of a new, big chapter in my life! I want each of you to be apart of my experience so I’ll be updating you through my blog!
