Breckenridge, CO Guide

Happy Hump Day! I’m a little late on this post today because I just finished up an Instagram try-on session with my favorite swimsuits. If you haven’t checked it out you definitely should! Aside from doing a couple try-on sessions I’ve been super busy playing catch up since I got home from Colorado! Laundry, emails, posts, work, and now I’m starting to pack for the beach! Let’s just say March is a busy month for me!
Anyways I wanted to do a quick little post on some of my favorite places in Breckenridge! While I was there I got a ton of messages about places to go and restaurants to check out! I’m rounding up all the recommendations! & if you ever plan on visiting, make sure to save this post!
Hotel: I recommend Beaver Run Resort! My parents stayed here and it was nice and practical!! Any hotel that’s located at the bottom of the ski slopes is where you want to be! That’s the easiest way to hop on and off the lifts and there’s also shuttles/buses that run around the area/to downtown.
Coffee Shops: Cabin Coffee Co. and Clint’s Bakery! We stopped into both of these a couple times and absolutely loved them!
Snacks: Mountain Top Cookie Shop & LoLo Juice! Once I discovered the cookie shop I had to go every single day. They made the best cookie sandwich with cookie dough or icing between them!! I have a serious sweet tooth, so this was right up my alley! LoLo Juice had great Acai bowls and mint chocolate energy bites! It’s a good breakfast spot if you want something light!
Restaurants: Giampietro Pizzeria, Kenosha Steakhouse, and Mi Casa Cantina. We wanted to try a different type of food every night. We started with pizza and italian! Holy moly, Giampietro is sooooo good! They don’t take reservations and it’s a very popular spot. So be prepared to wait! It’s totally worth it though! We had Kenosha the 3rd night we were there. Their lobster was great and they had a good variety of food on the menu! Mi Casa was like a traditional mexican restaurant! We really liked their queso! If you go, make sure to ask to sit by the windows! It’s got an awesome view of the mountains!
Shops: It’s kind of hard to narrow down all the shops to hit up because there’s quite a few! As long as you are on Main Street, you’re going to come across all the best ones!
Excursions: We spent most of our time skiing but we had plans to go snow mobiling. We ended up not going because we wanted to spend the day in town instead. However, I’m kind of bummed we didn’t go. So next time we will definitely add it to your agenda! They said you will sometimes see moose or wildlife… that’s why I wanted to go!
Tips for traveling: Since we flew into Denver we had about a 2 hour drive up to Breckenridge. I would suggest renting a car when you plan your trip. We waited til last minute and ended up having to take a taxi. It was very expensive, so be prepared! – If you didn’t know Breckenridge is located about 11,000 ft. above sea level. We weren’t prepared for the altitude change and pretty much all of us got sick! It’s known as AMS. Since you are going up so high, oxygen is limited. Your body needs time to adjust to that. And take layers if you’re going in the winter! You’re going to want to bundle up!
Next week I’ll be trading in the snow for the sand! Stay tuned for lots of fun spring/summer looks coming your way!
